UNIT OBJECTIVES & LEARNING OUTCOMES

On completing this capstone unit the students will
  • Understand the stages and processes involved in conducting independent research.

  • Demonstrate an ability to negotiate and set critical deadlines and work to them

  • Develop a sophisticated research proposal and design and implement it

  • Produce a comprehensive report indicating the relevant theoretical basis for the research, the justification for the research strategy pursued, the findings or results and the implications of these for the future. Limitations in the research will also be acknowledged.

  • Effectively communicate advanced concepts and the implications of the research through presentations and written work.


Learning Outcomes:
  • Conducting independent research through developing a sophisticated research proposal, research design and its implementation.

  • Produce a comprehensive report indicating the relevant theoretical basis for the research, the justification for the research strategy pursued.

  • Appreciate the benefits of experiential learning by displaying good work habits, time management and self discipline.

  • Produce a comprehensive research report and effectively communicate advanced concepts and the implications of the research through additional presentations.

HC3131 Integrated Business management project

Assignment 1 Research Proposal (10%) and Presentation (10%)


Assignment 1 requires students to select a topic of their choice and make research proposal based on the same. Research proposal would require students to provide details for the below areas
  1. Title of the research- Narrow your research topic

  2. Basic literature review

  3. Research questions/research problem

  4. Methodology

  5. Sampling methodology

  6. Data collection

  7. Data analysis methods

  8. Gantt chart

  9. Conclusion

Assignment 2 for the students would require students to search for deep literature review from the books and journal articles. Books and journal articles needs to be relevant to the given topic only.
